On January 24, 2026, the inaugural ceremony of the Southern Malaysia Branch of the Jiangsu General Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia and a networking dinner for Jiangsu businesspeople in ASEAN were held in Johor. The event brought together Malaysian government officials, representatives of Jiangsu chambers of commerce from ASEAN countries, business elites, and fellow countrymen.Representatives of the council members of the ASEAN Jiangsu Chamber of Commerce Alliance were invited to attend.。

Representatives from the alliance included: Sun Jianwei, rotating chairman of the alliance and president of the Jiangsu General Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia; Zhou Zhaocheng, president of the Jiangsu Association in Singapore; Sun Jingshu, president of the Jiangsu Chamber of Commerce in Thailand; Guo Jiehong, president of the Jiangsu Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia; Zhao Jian, president of the Jiangsu General Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines; Dong Zhifu, executive vice president of the Jiangsu Enterprises Federation of the China General Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam; Yuan Xingbing, secretary-general of the alliance; and Liu Jun, deputy secretary-general.

Sun Jianwei, the rotating chairman of the alliance, and Zhou Zhaocheng, a council member of the alliance, delivered speeches at the banquet. Sun Jianwei stated that "Synchronized Resonance, Steady Progress and Long-Term Development" is not only the theme of the banquet but also a consensus on the development of Jiangsu businesses in ASEAN. Only by thinking and working together can we solidify the foundation of cooperation amidst the regional economic wave. Zhou Zhaocheng proposed a new triangular cooperation pattern of "China Jiangsu-Singapore-Malaysia": with "Jiangsu" as a cultural and economic link, the complementary resources and superimposed advantages of the three regions will surely inject surging momentum into the development of Jiangsu businesses in ASEAN.

Golf gathering to foster friendship

To enhance friendship among alliance members, on the morning of January 25th, the presidents of various member chambers of commerce gathered at the Forest City Golf Course for a relaxed and enjoyable golf tournament. While competing, they also exchanged experiences on the development of their respective chambers, strengthening mutual understanding and camaraderie.

Looking to the future, let's build a new chapter of cooperation.

The alliance's participation in this series of activities marks a new stage in the institutionalization and normalization of the ASEAN Jiangsu Chamber of Commerce Alliance's operations. In the future, the alliance will continue to play its role as a bridge, leveraging industrial park resources in ASEAN and Jiangsu to solidify the foundation for two-way trade and industrial investment, actively organize talent exchange activities, earnestly implement the "dual attraction" policy (attracting investment and talent), and coordinate the promotion of "bringing in" and "going out" initiatives, thereby contributing to mutual benefit and common development between ASEAN and Jiangsu.
