The Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the China Zhi Gong Party visited Thailand and Uganda

To further promote the fine tradition of "dedicating oneself to public service and following the Party, contributing to the country through overseas Chinese affairs," enhance ties with overseas Chinese communities, better serve the "Belt and Road" initiative, and facilitate the safe and orderly "going global" of Jiangsu enterprises, Qiu Bo, Secretary-General of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the China Zhi Gong Party, led a delegation on a seven-day working visit to Thailand and Uganda from November 10th to 16th, 2025. During the visit, the delegation visited important local overseas Chinese associations, toured industrial parks established by Chinese, conducted in-depth research and exchanges, promoted China's new type of political party system, introduced Jiangsu Province's innovation and entrepreneurship environment on the new journey of China's modernization, and explored ways to promote the rational and orderly cross-border layout of Jiangsu enterprises.

During their visit to Thailand, the delegation met with the Eastern Economic Corridor Management Committee and received a report on the local government's efforts to stimulate the development of the Eastern Economic Corridor, including land development and utilization, mechanisms for opening up to the outside world, the formulation of preferential policies and regulations, and the construction of one-stop government services. The delegation stated that under the correct leadership of the CPC Central Committee and the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the CPC, Jiangsu's economy has maintained high-quality, rapid, and stable development in recent years. As both a major economic province and a major manufacturing province, Jiangsu is committed to shouldering the responsibility of leading the economy and has a strong desire for international development and overseas investment. The delegation also expressed that the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the China Zhi Gong Party will actively respond to the spirit of the "Belt and Road" initiative and strive to play a bridging role in facilitating Jiangsu enterprises' investment and development in Thailand.

The delegation visited the Jiangsu Chamber of Commerce in Thailand, where they learned about the Chamber's development history and the construction plan for the Jiangsu Natanabadi Industrial Park. They also held discussions with key members of the Chamber, gaining a detailed understanding of investment policies in Thailand, business registration procedures, and legal support for SMEs. The delegation introduced the century-long history of the China Zhi Gong Party, noting that General Secretary Xi Jinping's important congratulatory letter celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Party's founding provides direction and guidance for the Party to better unite and serve overseas Chinese at this new historical starting point. The Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the China Zhi Gong Party will further strengthen exchanges and connections with the Chamber, focus on the construction of the industrial park, and work together to serve overseas Chinese communities and assist Jiangsu enterprises in going global, continuously deepening cooperation.

During their stay in Thailand, the delegation also visited the Thai-Chinese Rayong Industrial Park, the Bangkok Port tugboat terminal, and the Bank of China (Thailand) Co., Ltd.

During their visit to Uganda, the delegation paid a courtesy call on the Chinese Embassy in Uganda, introducing the basic situation of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the China Zhi Gong Party and its work in leveraging its unique advantages as a "overseas Chinese" organization to promote the "Bridgehead Plan" and help construction companies expand overseas. The embassy briefed the delegation on the current political and economic situation in Uganda and expressed its recognition and affirmation of the work of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the China Zhi Gong Party.

The delegation visited the Ugandan Parliament and received a briefing on the history, basic functions, and institutional mechanisms of the Ugandan parliamentary system.

The delegation held discussions with local Chinese community organizations in Uganda, including the Federation of Chinese Associations in Uganda, the Jiangsu Chamber of Commerce in Uganda, and the Hubei Chamber of Commerce in Uganda. They learned about the local overseas Chinese situation and the development and difficulties faced by Chinese-funded enterprises "going global." The delegation also conducted preliminary policy and industry environment research to build a "Zhigong Bridge" and assist Jiangsu enterprises in entering Africa. They expressed their commitment to maintaining the Zhigong Party's open approach of "serving the country through overseas Chinese affairs, conducting research across the world, and making friends across continents," and actively contributing their wisdom and strength to protecting the rights and interests of overseas Chinese and serving the country's economic and social development.

This visit was successfully completed with the care and support of the United Front Work Department of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the CPC and the great attention and careful guidance of the leaders of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the China Zhi Gong Party, achieving good results.
